“This summer, I participated in the Mongol Rally. It’s a charity event where participants drive a car with a 1.2L engine size or smaller – I chose a mighty Nissan Micra. Seriously, she (Lizzie) was mighty, she towed a team of Brits’ Suzuki for 250km across some nasty Mongol steppes – from London via any route they choose (mine ended up being slightly over 10,000 miles) to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Once there, the car is donated to charity. I’m a bit obsessed with thechive, I brought only chive shirts. Anyway, here’s a few of the better pics I could scrounge up from other teams. Sadly, my iPhone and camera were stolen our first night inside the Mongol border – about 4.5 weeks into my 6 week adventure – so all pics west of Mongolia, and many of my best pics, were lost… Such is life on the rally tho, you have no choice but to KCCO and hope for a cure for dementia long before that shit starts setting in.
