If memory serves, this is the same car that set the mile record as well at 257.7 mph

212 thats it, my buddy has a street legal drag car that does 200 in the 1/4 what would an extra 1/4 mile give him. his top speed on a dyno was 260

You sir are an idoit. A dyno does not take into account drag forces. And if he is doing 200 in a 1/4 he is geared for 1/4 thus probably would not go much faster. i call bs

you can do drag races with a street car and you dont have to be geared for 1/4 mile i have seen a honda civic out accelerate a viper… and even if he was geared for a 1/4 mile he still would beat that GT to the finish, and for dub just cause you have a streetable drag car doesn't mean you can't change the tires the GT had semi drag radials

but for what the GT in this video does is still pretty amazing with no rev up for a quick launch
