1988. He wore No.12 that year, won the title, and wore No.1 in 1989. Plus, the '88 McLaren had the roll hoop behind the driver's head (V6 turbo) and the '89 car had the airbox (V10 N/A). Though he didn't win the race this year, it's still great to see him in front at Monaco… where we remember him.
