how good are they at absorbing impacts at high speeds?

How high of an impact and how high of a speed? Even with conventional tires that is a subject that you would need to consider. There is video of a skid-steer with the Tweel running over a land mine or some form of an explosive and still being able to drive away(at a diminished capacity). They appear to have very similar operation to what we're used to though.

All have potential, (#9 would be a 10 with normal earrings) but the ear thing grosses me out. I'm ok with piercings, maybe not as much as some of these ladies have, but when it comes to gauging, gross!
Please ladies, think of when you're 50+… Regular sized holes will close once you decide you're ready to be an adult, those big ass ugly holes won't!

Why don't they make these? They use alot less rubber to make so would be more eco friendly..

Rubber looks about the same if not more, the reg. Tires are filled with air so they don't use as much as they may appear. In fact i'd be surprised if these did use less.

What happens when they get filled with mud or snow? Or chunks of gravel get stuck in the holes unevenly and the wheel becomes unbalanced?

Maybe they're just open for display purposes, but I think they could use sidewalls.
