H3 might be a poser's car, but Dave doesn't seem to know where to find a picture of one…
Roberto
I bet "etcrr" drives an H3,
etcrr
Nope, I drive a 98' Jeep Cherokee Classic Sport 4X4 with 166,000 miles and I believe the only good Humvee was the original one
tapsnapornap
I hate to admit this but I drive a '98 Cherokee Sport 4×4 on 33s and 290k. Damn you etcrr!!!

Psssst…most of those are H2.

Owning ones of these abominations should be automatic revocation of your Man Card.

#4 #10 #15 #18 These must have distracted some of the H3 drivers. We've all been there.

Ignorance is showing itself as hate. Most of these are H2s. And the H3s are one of the best off-road vehicles fresh from the factory. It was the only real competitor to a Wrangler in the price range. It has better overhangs and ground clearance than the H2 or any factory truck the time (might still). Get a grip people.

True story, Hummers are pretty badass for off road. The trouble is that nobody that would take them off road could afford one or risk bashing it up, then NBA stars and Rappers started buying them and Blingin' them out, in which case they have completely wasted the potential of the vehicle and made it a ridiculous monstrosity. And everybody wants to be a NBA star or a rapper and we have this big snowball effect of mega-gay Hummers… I rarely see any Hummers modified for off road, which is sad.

Cool story bro. Badass for the offroad compared to what? My brother in law pulled an H3 out of a sandy bog last week. He used his old Subaru Forester. Yeah, nothing says capable like being rescued by a station wagon.

Cool story yourself. Good machInery cant offset a bad driver. Did either guy know the H3 had lockers from the factory? The original commenter is correct. The Rubicon and I would add Defender are really the only considerable competition as far as the most off road capable stock vehicle.

Cool story yourself, pics? Did the driver even know they had lockers? The machine is only ever as good as the operator. The original poster was correct about the H3 and I would add front and rear lockers and for the H2, adjustable ride height as factory features not found anywhere else (That I know of) but on a Rubicon or Land Rover. They may not be as hardcore as an H1, but the H2 and especially the H3 are still both very capable off-road from the factory.

Useless idiot vehicles. Like the little wranglers with wide tires for every application. http://www.customsuspension.com/Gallery/albums/al…
I should rest my case.
Take a great vehicle, make it look stupid, add half a ton of rubber so you can float on the mud, lose horsepower and look stupid the entire time. Excellent.
The army uses a nifty inflation system on the newer trucks. You can make them flatter or ice etc.
The original hmmvw was a good, practical and functional vehicle… Drove them for years, bling free, crappy by nature, brutish and beautiful. They also had pretty reasonable tires. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMMWV
My point being that none of those vehicles looked nice, but they were //actually// badass. Just look at the jumping jeeps post here, none of them are stupid looking. 'cause the stoopid one aint gonna fly!
etcrr
#19 I hope the made it out alive and unscathed. Cause' that sucks

Canyon colorado trailblazer etc, it’s not fullsize
tapsnapornap
H2 is based on the Tahoe/Yukon. H3 on the Trailblazer/Canyon/Colorado.
etcrr
H3 sucks no matter what it is based on

I believe the only good Humvee was the original one
