There is probably an as good an answer to that as to the question of "how much is too much" in a sportscar.
However, I would say that we might want to shift focus from horsepower to weight for a while, both for cars and for bikes. Lower weight => better power to weight, better braking, better handling.
etcrr
I agree, It really depends on who the driver of the vehicle is and if they can handle that type of power. Lighter and less horse power makes more sense.

Awesome. It is possible to pull a 9 seconds 1/4 on these.

Yes. But you'd have to have giants balls to do it.

Then you need a trailer for them and that will slow you down…

I'm not a bike guy but you've gotta respect what 200 HP can do when positioned immediately at balls level. That said, I'll stick with the old adage of "two wheels – bad" since 90% of people don't "know what their doing."

*they're, not their
I'd say the percentage is much lower than 90%. Bikes can be very safe if ridden properly. Most single vehicle motorcycle accidents are caused by rider error. However, most multi vehicle accidents involving bikes are caused by the people with 4 wheels.

True-dat. I've known a few corpses who rode, most were killed by a moron inside 4000 pounds of rolling steel.
