However, I would say that we might want to shift focus from horsepower to weight for a while, both for cars and for bikes. Lower weight => better power to weight, better braking, better handling.
I agree, It really depends on who the driver of the vehicle is and if they can handle that type of power. Lighter and less horse power makes more sense.
I'm not a bike guy but you've gotta respect what 200 HP can do when positioned immediately at balls level. That said, I'll stick with the old adage of "two wheels – bad" since 90% of people don't "know what their doing."

I'd say the percentage is much lower than 90%. Bikes can be very safe if ridden properly. Most single vehicle motorcycle accidents are caused by rider error. However, most multi vehicle accidents involving bikes are caused by the people with 4 wheels.
