They'd take one because they could probably afford it and drive it hard without wrecking it. The '93 Firehawk was an absolute menace, same with the Cobra R (Not a fan personally as I have an '01 'Hawk). There's a few other cars on this list that are slower than the 'Hawk as well. It's no supercar but I have been beat very rarely with my stock 'Hawk. There are some supercars in my town and a new 911 Turbo stands out as the one car that could really pull away from me, but it wasn't that surprising either. My point is that Rick, gdm426, I'm with you guys. This is my favorite list so far. Couldn't pick just one but #22 just because.

To borrow: the F40 (#9)
To own: the Porsche (#20), hands down.

Caught a ride in an F40 once at a Ferrari Club track meet. The driver/owner, even being exhausted after a long day, was an incredibly nice guy. And I was amazed at how smooth the car felt, and how non-intrusive the engine sounded for being right behind my head. Unforgettable.

One of the worst? I think some people would disagree. "R" was a 5.4L DOHC engine that was stated to produce 385hp, and 385lb/ft of torque. Inside sources claim those number were highly under rated with the actual power numbers being upwards of 400-450hp. It was equipped with a wind tunnel tested removable front air dam that reduced front lift by as much as 10 times, and a large rear wing that adds 3 times the downforce over the stock wing. Available in only Performance Red, only 300 2000 Cobra R's were ever made. Yet again they were only sold to those with a competition license. Unfortunately when the '00 Cobra was released most dealers raised the price by extraordinary amounts. Yours truly saw one of these $54,000 MSRP R's being sold by a dealership online for $90K+. All in all the '00 Cobra R is arguably the best handling factory built Mustang of all time.

Maybe I was just young when it came out but it looked menacing…like a 400plus hp muscle car should (or pony if that's how you feel)
