I was surprised I looked up the stats 268 equivilant BHP 13 seconds in the quarter mile and 120mph top end sweet enough only 200 mile range though. I suppose that is driving normally. which isn't as far as I would like to see. 300 at least would be a decent range. though to it's credit it can plug into a wall outlet #15

if you look at real world examples most full evs dont get that kind of range and the electric/gas hybrids only get like 30 miles full ev.

It's actually built on the Elise platform (as is the Tesla).
I've had my Elise for about 4 years and I recall a bunch of pics/buzz on the the Lotus forums when this surfaced. Never got greenlighted.

this paltform has got to be one of the most popular ever. the vauxhall vx220, opel speedster, pontiac solstice, saturn sky, lotus elise, tesla roadster. did i miss any?
Nolaboy
pontiac solstice and saturn sky are not on the same platform… they are front engine rear drive for on thing…
Nolaboy
but yes it is a very popular platform… its light and cheap

doge is copying the elise design and tesla concept? bring back the demon damn you!!!
someblokefromblighty
actually its based on on the Lotus Europa Aluminium (that's how we spell it) space frame chassis.
This was the Elise's bigger brother which was only sold in the UK.
It was not originally intended to be a Lotus but a sports car for its parent company.
so you could say that it's a Proton.
