most of the cars on this post are ricer but yeah i used to love mitsubishi eclipses when i was a kid too

I know Mistu was forced into changing everything about the car between the beloved Gen2 and Gen3 but that's just no excuse for Gen4. The fact that an AWD option never returned is baffling. The Gen4s should have been RWD with an AWD option and they would have dominated a tuner market desperate for something more aggressive but cheaper than the Z's or RX-8. Oh well…

your going to miss a car that was poorly designed, was literally cobbled together from parts, and by definition blew? wow.

Stupid Mitsubishi. They should have just made the Eclipse a 2-door curvy-bodied version of the Lancer. They could have called the EVO-based one the GS-X and priced it around 30k, and it would have sold in droves.

Instead they made the 4th gen an overweight, iron-block V6 that is slower then a Accord Coupe, corners like a CR-V (not good!).

I had a friend that has had two eclipses roll over, I hate these cars
