Javelins and the AMX were the saving grace of american motors. I had a friend who had a rambler american and the steering column fell inot his lap the the transmission fell out of the car as well. we called it the trutle cause it barely get out of its own way

yay, my first car was a '70 Javelin – a hand me down from my mom who bought it new. Drove the wheels off of it, and even though it was a straight six – it could still take down a malaise era mustang 5.0

the 68/69 Javelin even with the 390 in stock trim could hit 150 mph when super cars of the day didn't do much better. it was the sleeper of the muscle car world cuz AMC produced forgettable cars . after all they did come with odd stuff like the Pacer.
