Hate to say it, really, but Mazda all the way.

I don't even understand why they keep comparing these two cars. I drove both when looking for a new car and threw up in my mouth a little when looking at the plaid interior of the GTI – and it is completly gutless next to the MS3. Mazda wins in every catagory.

GTI looks better that's about it, that and they're built like tanks.

In a race on a tight track I think I could beat any of the newer GTI’s with the original since it only wegihed about 1700 pounds. We had a 1976 Rabbit with a very hot motor from a professional Volkswagen engine builder in Colombia, catalytic converter removed, larger carburetor, around 115 hp, that thing would fly.
