A dumb mistake is putting a $20 bill in the garbage not drinking to excess and then driving over 100 miles an hour in the middle of the night on back country roads. That's like playing Russian Roulette with an automatic.

After looking again at the scene photo's I retract my 'back road' comment but not my opinion on his poor judgement. I feel sorry for those his actions impact on most. His friends and his family.

He was driving a Porsche GT3. It's a friggin' race car for crying out loud. That's a car that most people have no business driving sober, much less in any state of intoxication. Tops out at about 191 MPH and being a race car, it is fitted with a gas tank that has nearly double the capacity over a stock Porsche. The car was shredded and you have to be going over 150 to do that to a GT3. It went off the road, got airborne and went through several trees then exploded in a fireball.

Not to mention that his BAC was determined to be twice the legal limit.

Make your own conclusions, but my vote is on absolute pure stupidity.
