I'm not feeling this either!!

I second that look's stupid. I spend my time preventing rust on my vehicles.

I hate to break it to you but its a nod to the rat rod/hot rods of the late 20's early 30's era. With the luggage baskets on the roof and flat paint and #14 dragging his knuckles like Rat Fink, its kinda obvious.

The rusty look is better on rat rods. Fits better. Doesn't look right on new cars.

Back in the day, a rusted hood meant you had an engine fire at some point, cooked the paint off and you spent all your of money repairing the engine (new fuel lines-no, bigger carb Yes) not the paint. It started as a circle and eventually rusted the whole hood-#14 kinda has an authentic look
