Does Michigan’s Mach7 Falcon have what it takes? (31 HQ Photos)

Mach7 out of Holly, Michigan has taken a Corvette LS3 that produces 500 hp and surrounded it with their own creation. They are calling it the Falcon. It can get you from 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. Their are plans for 15 units per year at a cost of around $200,000. There are also plans for an LS9 option which would produce 640 hp.

Basing the idea that it can't handle off the fact that it is from America is pretty ignorant. Latest issue of Motor Trend shows a ZR1 out handling a 911 Turbo. Less recent issue shows Mustang GT matching a overpriced M3 in handling.

The problem with this car is that it is essentially a carbon fiber Corvette with a nice interior going for twice the price. It is a lot lighter, but until we see some more performance times, there is really no way to judge if this car is going to be anything important or not.

The fact that only 15 are going to be made makes it almost completely unimportant anyway.

Although you're right to dispute TJ's moronic point, you're missing that it's also mid-engined.

GM intended to make the C7 mid-engined also, due to the implicit handling benefits, but scrapped the idea after the government bailout.

When comparing this car to other mid-engined sports cars with 500hp V8's, 200k holds up pretty well, especially considering the carbon-fiber work, and the fresh good looks.

You're kidding right? This car looks NOTHING like a GTM. This car looks amazing. The GTM looks like it was designed by a 10 year old compared to this.

Agreed. The front of the GTM looks like a Ford GT and the back two circular lights on each end does not beg to much similarity.

It’s an over priced kit car that won’t hold up to any test u put it thru. It’s not aerodynamic enough to go thru a wind tunnel with out coming apart.

it looks like a hyper aggressive Dodge Viper front, and a mocked down Ferrari 430 backside, just to not be sued by the company. not too sure what's with the sudden flow break on the side of the car. It looks like the door flows into a scoop on the tire, kind of ruins the flow of the body.

Overall its beautiful and looks like fun, but there are certain parts of it that just screams kit car. I don't think they'd have a problem selling 15 of them a year though.
