Say it ain't so! The Chinese takeover of the auto industry is happening, and it's happening fast. First there was Chinese car manufacturer Geely Holding Company's purchase of Volvo from Ford for a whopping 1.8 billion, and now we could lose one of the most iconic names in motoring, Pininfarina, to the Chinese. Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Corp or BAIC for short, is now in serious talks to purchase the Italian coach builder and design firm best known for their beautiful Ferrari designs. Sure, it wouldn't really change much as Pininfarina would stay in Italy and continue their designs, but something about this just feels wrong. I don't know how good I feel about a Chinese designed Ferrari. This modern age. Ciao, Pininfarina!
