Growing up in a northern Indiana town called Fort Wayne, there was a name that meant more to me than Larry Bird. That name is John Lingenfelter. He worked out of Decatur, IN (google it, it's just south of Ft. Wayne) were he ran the Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE). His work helped GM develop their SLP devision. In 2002, Mr. Lingenfelter was critically injured in a NHRA event in Pomona, CA and would pass at age 58 back in Decatur. I can't remember much of last week but I remember driving with my Dad out of the auto lot in his new '93 SLP Firehawk. So here are the 3 cars I want for Christmas. The Twin-turbo Lingenfelter Z06. The Cobra R, which was awesome. Or, with a bullet, any one of the 201 produced 1993 Firehawks.
