It's got a top speed of around 75 mph and gets 258 mpg. Not bad for $600 dollars.

#6. I guess $600 doesn't get daytime running lights? That makes for a pretty stupid car.
why is it stupid? I hate drl so much I disconnected mine
does it cost $600? I think it was made to do high mpg and not to be cheap. And mainly to fulfill the statement that vw will built a car using 1l fuel per 100km by the end of the century
Agree with zonk…the car is a technology demonstrator not a european tata nano
I will believe this when I see it street legal and being sold for $600.
Probably more like $600.000
I'm doubtful about that $600.00 price tag. What's it made from, cardboard?
It has a carbon fiber body, that alone is worth more than $600. From what I've read previously is it will compare in price to a smart car.
It is not even in production yet. When produced it will sell for $26,000.

I'm sorry, but posting something like this is a pretty big stain on the throttle in my eyes. You couldn't even buy the raw materials for this car for $600. (Plus the source doesn't even discuss price, looks like that figure was pulled out of thin air)
That aside, this looks like a really great car for commuting to work, I hope I have the option to buy it down the road.
