Which would you rather: CTS-V or M5 (25 Photos)

My knee-jerk reaction is the Cad', because I dislike the lights and electronics of the M5 so intensily. But then again, I'm not at all convinced by the overall design of the Cadillac, although it is the lesser of two evils.

However, I'd love to see pictures of the Aston Martin Rapide. Or if this (http://fast-carsinfo.blogspot.com/2010/10/nissan-gt-r-r35-station-wagon.html) had been official and with the GTR's performance, then we'd be talking.

Or if we added the Ferrari 456T Venice to the list; Game over.

M5, that's so obvious!

I've always been a huge fan of BMW, and I love my M3, even though its over 10 yrs old. (1999). I like the styling of both vehicles, but I think to be fair to both cars, we need to compare stats. 0-60 time, ovrall bhp, torque, top speed, compression ratio etc. But as of now, My vote is for the M5, hands down!

BMW. The caddie has looks that are too angular for me to like. It is an impressive car though, for GM.

Had the opportunity to own the M5 (2007 model) and to be honest although an overall great car (performance, handling, curb appeal), it was not a fun car to drive. The SMG was jerky, and if you wanted to use the "manual" mode with the steering wheel controls it became busy for city driving. MPG was horrible (I was getting 170 miles out of a tankful and the gas was close to $4/gallon back then) with normal driving. That atmospheric V10 sucks the gas like crazy… I traded it in for an '06 Mercedes E55 and have never looked back. I know absolutely nothing about the Caddy…..

BMWs perform well, but are boring as hell to look at (seen one, then seen them all). So I would go for the Caddie.

cts-v!!! faster, more agile…o and it's a real stick shift with this thing called a clutch that most people are forgetting about these days.

I looked at the CTS-V before I bought my M6. Got the M6 with a 6spd manual so I can't speak on the problems people have with the SMG…That said, I think I made the right decision although it was a difficult one.

How about a 5-door? One extra door is always better: I'd take either the Ferrari 456T or the MTM RS6 Avant (700hp and 214 MPH from a WAGON!)

id go cts-v…..idk the 500+ horse power kinda takes it for me…and the fact that the bmw looks like al other bmws pretty much

the CTS-V no contest. not just from looks alone, the V is just more car.
