Some cars just kind of start to get forgotten. These aren't the coolest cars but they're still pretty cool and deserve to be shown off. This is the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 (side note of Dodge Stealth which was Chrysler's renamed version of the 3000GT). The 3000GT was in production from 1990-2001. The VR-4 version had a twinturbo V6 that produced 319hp. There are a lot of people that have had fun in this car and as such, I'm bringing it back.

the twin turbo models were not only AWD, they're AWS too.. (all wheel steering )

#14 is a Mitsubishi Eclipse from 2 Fast 2 Furious. Actually in the prelude to 2 Fast 2 Furious Brian (Paul Walker) is seen racing in a 3000GT until it's discovered by the police.

Too bad they were pieces of unreliable sh*t. Plus they were oversized pigs that didn't handle all that well. Otherwise, cool cars.

3000's were one of the highest HP cars on the first Gran Turismo on PlayStation. They sucked, but it was cool having a 1000hp car!

Nice collection of pics. I will assume none of you ever owned a VR4. The production years were 1991 to 1999. They were among the first Japanese Super Cars. All wheel drive, all wheel steer, electronic controlled suspension, easily modified to 400+ HP, and other amenities that many cars still don't have today. And this was 20 years ago.

Yes the NA model was hopelessly underpowered for its weight and the reliability was just fine, as with any car you can take care of it or let if fall apart. The twin turbo models actually did handle pretty well, the main drawback was the weight and bringing it to a halt. Not good for the track unless you upgrade the brakes. With that and a stage 1 turbo upgrade it was force to recon with.

I agree with 3000gtvr4, it's obvious that others saying crap on this page no nothing of what they are talking about. My brother-in-law owned one of these that was loaded to the gills with toys. That car was screaming fast for it's time and handled like it was stuck to rails! I remember taking a turn in the road at 90 miles an hour that I had seen three guys on crotch rockets die on, and numerous sports cars attempt it at around 60 or 70 and all they did was slam in the guard rail. When we took those turns in the road, the only thing that was sliding was my ass across the seat, you would have swore that car was glued to the road.
