Throttlers-
The aircraft in #29 is stored at the Top Gear test track (Dunsfold Airport) and has nothing to do with the show. It is an ex British Airlines Boeing 747-200, fitted with fake dual engine pods (like a B-52) for the James Bond movie "Die Another Day". It is stored there at the airpark until it finds another movie role.
the guy cleans the windows/washes the plane before they record footage, and yes the plane is just BG in the show
I submitted the pic, the guy pole-cleaning the plane is mates with the caretaker of the aerodrome and was just trying to see if he could reach the windows using all his poles, just for laughs, its not a regular occurance – also, the plane was landed at Dunsfold as the result of a bet, but cannot take off from there due to the runway being too short, its stuck there as scenery now!
It kind of worries me that I instantly knew that was the plane from top gear.
