Apparently some students of DeLaSalle School in Kansas City, Mo., have developed a zero-emission, electric car which has been successfully tested on Bridgestone’s Texas Proving Grounds. It is a plug-in electric car, built on the chassis of 2000 Lola Indy.
The car known as DeLaSalle has an ultra light-weight aerodynamic body, dressed with Bridgestone Ecopia EP100 tires. It was a part of the class project, based on electric propulsion and during a test on Bridgestone’s Texas Proving Grounds it managed to get the equivalent of a 300mpg fuel economy. Developers have already sent a request to the Guinness World Records to consider their work.
